Period of Study / Acceleration Period of Study PT Adult ReturnerPT Graduate EntryFT Graduate Entry 5 years4 years2 years Option to accelerate and complete in 4 years Option to accelerate and complete in 3 years No option to accelerate available

Period of Study / Acceleration Part-Time students may submit an application to accelerate. If successful this will reduce their period of study by one year however, your fee payment will amount to the same as studying all years. Reducing period of study does not mean reduction in fees.

Application to Accelerate R equests to accelerate will normally be approved if: - All classes have been passed at the first attempt. - Student has good grounds to do so. - Academic grades are at a standard which the advisor feels the student could cope with the additional workload. - Applications with an overall average grade of less than 50% will normally lead to a rejection of a request for acceleration.

Transferring from Part-Time to Full-Time Study (or vice versa) You must first contact the part-time LLB Advisor of Studies. Application can only be made after 1 year of study. This route is not normally open to Graduates. Applications must be made via the Internal Transfer Form. Credits already accumulated can normally be carried forward. Transfer from full-time to part-time study may also be possible – each case will be considered on its merits.
