Location The area where the investment will be made is part of the total area of the factory from Negresti Oas, meaning 8 ha. The plant is positioned in the north – vest of Romania the border with Hungary and Ukraine. In the years , once with the company growth, we reached a level of producing around 15 to 20 machines per year. This was equivalent with a need of casted iron parts of about 1000 – 1200 tons/year. This amount is about the production for two months of the biggest Romanian foundry – Saturn Alba Iulia. Because of this high demand for cast iron parts, and the long delivery time from suppliers (10-12 months), REM Masini Unelte decided to purchase Mecanica Negresti Oas and to built a new, state of the art, cast iron and nodular cast iron foundry with a maximum piece weight of 50 to and 1200 to/month capacity. The built surface for the foundry is in the first stage is sqm. In 2010 we will add another sqm. The total surface of the plant is sqm covered and sqm in open air. Once with the foundry we will develop, in another building on the same location, the Machining Division - doped with REM Machine Tools like Plano Milling Machine (FLP 2200x11000), Floor Type Boring Mills (AFP 150, AFC 150), Vertical Lathes (SC70), MRG11.000; - and the Description Of The Foundry Investment Project

The foundry is specialized in producing cast iron and nodular cast iron parts with a maximum gross weight of 50 tons at a final estimated capacity of tons per month. Our foundry is using the no-bake technique. This method is particularly appropriate for prototype work and small series products.
