 Select a bull that best fits your scenario  Place emphasis on phenotype, performance and genetic evaluation  Determine the cross breed epd’s for your cowherd  Did you make improvements

 Hereford  Angus  Red Angus  Simmental  Gelbvieh

 You operate a ranch that has a primary Angus cowherd with a herd EPD: BW +2; WW +50; YW +89 and M +25.  Your goal is to buy an Angus Bull that will lower birth weight without sacrificing growth and milk. You also want to purchase a continental bull that will produce composite bull calves.  You wish to inject more muscle into your cows with both bulls  You have $8000 to spend on two bulls

 You operate a ranch that has a primary Angus cowherd with a herd EPD: BW +2; WW +50; YW +89 and M +25.  Your goal is to buy an Angus Bull that will lower birth weight without sacrificing growth and milk. You also want to purchase a Simmental bull that will produce composite bull calves and keep hide color black.  You have $7000 to spend on two bulls
