NGfL CYMRU GCaD To gain a pass you must: P1 identify the necessary planning requirements for a performing arts product P2 identify appropriate material/equipment suitable for a performing arts product P3 communicate with other team members and/or event personnel as appropriate P4 carry out a role in the development process showing a grasp of the task requirements and with some commitment P5 evaluate the product with reference to the planning and preparation process, identifying personal effectiveness and suggesting opportunities for improvement

NGfL CYMRU GCaD To gain a merit you must also: M1 describe the necessary planning requirements for a performing arts product M2 describe appropriate material/equipment suitable for a performing arts product with some attempt at shaping the nature of the work in development M3 communicate with other team members and/or event personnel using appropriate channels and methods to ensure communication achieves its objective M4 carry out a role in the development process showing that the task requirements are handled with some thought and attention to detail and with some commitment M5 evaluate the product with reference to the planning and preparation process, describing personal effectiveness and suggesting opportunities for improvement.

NGfL CYMRU GCaD To gain a distinction you must also: D1 explain the necessary planning requirements for performing arts product with insight, foresight and confidence D2 explain appropriate material/equipment suitable for a performing arts product in a way that shows a positive and/or artistic contribution to the work in development D3 communicate clearly with other team members and/or event personnel with a degree of confidence to ensure communication achieves its objective D4 carry out a role in the development process showing that the task requirements are handled with efficiency, commitment and independence D5 evaluate the product with reference to the planning and preparation process, making judgments about personal effectiveness and suggesting opportunities for improvement.

NGfL CYMRU GCaD Assignment: A1.1 Planning an Event You will be arranging a short concert in a Primary school for pupils and parents during the day. Produce a plan for you performance that include the following: Venue and target audience Date time and performance Details about how you intend to organise the concert including a detailed list of roles and responsibilities A detailed timetable for the event Contact details of people involved. Important: try to use the key terms in the ‘you should know’ section above

NGfL CYMRU GCaD Assignment: A1.2 Organising an Event You will organize the event that you planned in assignment A1.1 Planning an Event. Throughout this task you should keep a detailed diary of who does what in your group as you organise the performance. You should complete the following tasks. Write a letter to the venue booking your performance giving the details of what you intend to do. Book your performer and agree repertoire Produce an item of publicity for your potential audience outlining the event Produce a programme for the event Be involved with the front of house at the event

NGfL CYMRU GCaD Assignment: A1.3 Evaluating an Event You need to complete a self evaluation aboutt the project you have undertaken in assignments A1.2 Planning an Event and A2.2 Organising an Event. You should: Evaluate each task you undertook Analyse feed back from third parties Make judgements about the effectiveness of what you did Suggest way of improvement in the future
