The noise of so many Ss speaking will lead to the raising of voices, therefore, the name “shouting dictation”. The T can add to this by walking up and down between the rows talking nonsense or playing some music. Procedures: Get Ss to sit in two lines facing each other. The lines should be a good distance apart. The person they face is their shouting dictation partner. Ss must then take turns and dictate to each other the text, stopping when they have got a blank / blanks. After writing down the text, the Ss, including the volunteer S, complete the gaps with the correct verb in the correct tense (or adjective, noun or any other teaching point being revised). The one who gets most of the gaps correct is the winner! REVISION DICTATION

One person from each group has to dictate their sentence/sentences to the rest of the class and the groups then have to decide on the correct order of the sentences. The first group who has completed the task, shouts “STOP” and reads out their text for it to be checked by the class / teacher. JUMBLED DICTATION
