Veterinary Bone Injection Gun B.I.G. Simply Saving Lives

Indications Bone Marrow Aspiration, Systemic Vascular Approach, Fastest Intraosseous access

How to use the Veterinary B.I.G. device?

Location (1) Animal sedated* and in Lateral recumbency. * Sedated: in accordance with clinician consideration (animal behaviour).

Location (2) Medial Proximal Tibia of recumbent hind limb locally sedated, clipped, and/or Aseptically prepared.

Location (3) Index finger (2nd Digit) palpating patellar ligament. Sliding down to rest on Proximal Anterior aspect of Tibial Tuberosity.

Location (4) Thumb (1st Digit), palpating the flat surface of the Medial Proximal Tibia, hence: Penetration site

Alternative method Draw a line Perpendicular to Tibial Crest, mid-level Tibial Crest

Alternative method Draw a line in the middle of the previous line (Mid Tibial), 90o. Tibial Crest

Alternative method Penetration Site Tibial Crest

Advantages 0.02 sec. penetration speed. No need to refer. No need to anesthetize. Advancing a diagnostic plans. No complications. Safe, reliable route for fluids and drugs administration.
