Team Teaching Section 2: Traditional Team Teaching

Traditional Team Teaching Definition Two or more teachers actively share the instruction of the content and skills in the same classroom at the same time with the same group of students. Section 2: Traditional Team Teaching

Traditional Team Teaching Example An anatomy class is preparing to dissect frogs. One teacher demonstrates proper dissection technique while modeling a dissection with an overhead camera. The other teacher lectures and fields questions from students about the dissection technique. Section 2: Traditional Team Teaching

Activity With your teaching partner, brainstorm instructional activities specifically linked to the subject or program you plan to teach where you could use Traditional Team Teaching. Discuss times and situations where you have used the Traditional Team Teaching model in the classroom. Section 2: Traditional Team Teaching

Activity Look at the focus questions. (link) Then watch the video (Link to video) and note the characteristics of the Traditional Team Teaching model.
