 In a small, quiet and very poor little town named Hollwell,they live in a church. In the backyard there is a graveyard. The year is about 1970’s in the book.

 Molly- Is the oldest child of the family  Heather- Step sister of molly but the youngest child  Michael – second oldest molly’s real brother  Mom-Molly’s mom and Heather's stepmom  Dave- Heather’s dad and molly’s step father

 The problem is the youngest daughter Heather has this ghost friend named Helen she has been dead for 100 years and Heather tells Molly that Helen is coming to haunt her and Molly believes it but Michael doesn’t believe her. Molly is scared and has a big problem with it.

 It turns out that Helen haunts Molly, Michael, and Mom but, then Helen try’s to kill Heather by her walking in the pond but Molly stops her from doing it so Helen disappeared forever..it started storming after that so they had to go to the old Harper’s house to stay warm but it turns out they are really cold and Heather just realized Helen really wanted to kill her so she doesn’t want to be with her anymore so Molly protects her and a couple hours later Dave and Michael find them and take them home. The next morning Heather thanks Molly for protecting her likes her a lot like a sister

 I think the book is a experience with step brothers and sisters and a mystery spooky story.

 It all starts out when Heather was a little girl her Mom was cooking and it started a fire in the oven. Then Heather’s mom was calling her so they can go out of the house but Heather was hiding from her mom because she thought she was going to get a spanking or something but it was to late and 2 hours later the a fireman man found Heather and her mom was died. 5 years later Dave and Heather meet Joan which is Molly’s Mom she has two kids Molly and Michael. What happens Dave and Joan get married put there family together, But Heather does not like that at all she doesn’t want her Dad to be with some one else besides her. She is a unhappy little girl. One day Joan and Dave decide to move to a small church in Hollwell. Molly is not happy about that she loves Baltimore that’s her home town and the most spookiest part about there new house that it has a graveyard.
