Burnlea First opened in January, 2010 Registered to care for up to 34 Older (Lovely) People Mainly long term care Small respite service Busy activity/hobby programme

Craft & Hobby Sessions Routine, scheduled sessions 5 sessions per week Plus, special events, visiting entertainments, trips, spontaneous happenings etc.

Combination of: Large groups Small groups One to one activities

Activities include: Physical activity Mental exercise Dexterity Artistic / Creative Reminiscence Games Music Current affairs Life stories Pet therapy Combinations of above Simple blether & fun!

Benefits & outcomes: Stimulating, motivating Social interaction Self-esteem & confidence increases Creates sense of achievement, fulfilment Healthy activities & exercise Creates a ‘buzz’ Puts a smile on faces!
