33 How do I get my uniform? Before getting your uniform you must have your ID number. You may buy your uniform before getting your ID card. Locations: Most Military bases sell uniforms at the Exchange or store. You will need your ID or someone with an ID from your flotilla to shop with you. A fellow member or your Flotilla, Division and or District might offer second hand or new items for sale. Order online from many locations. If you do not have access to the internet, contact your FSO-PS.

Uniforms Do’s and Don'ts 34 Members need to be aware that active duty members wear the uniform with pride and when they see an Auxiliarist improperly dressed it can be seen as offensive to the service. Most Auxiliarist interact with stations where the active duty members are abundant. Wear the uniform with Pride, as a representative of the Auxiliary and the Coast Guard. Never wear your uniform to go shopping or run errands. Wear it only to go to Coast Guard Activities and events. Never wear your uniform to a political or event that might be understood as if the Coast Guard is part of this event. Elected officers should set example.
