College Entrance Exam Prep College Eligible vs. College Ready

Core Elements of the Program Include: 1.Accuplacer pre-testing for All 10 th, 11 th and 12 th graders 2.All students who achieve acceptable cut scores will be eligible for Dual Enrollment opportunities 3.All students who do not achieve Accuplacer cut scores for Reading, Writing and Math will be offered an Accuplacer Prep intervention at their school and online at home using PLATO Online or another prep program approved by CCDC 4.The Accuplacer Prep intervention will last 8-12 weeks and be individualized to student needs 5.Students will be Accuplacer post tested after the intervention is complete 6.Students who are still not achieving the cut scores will be given another follow-up intervention until they are college ready College Eligible vs. College Ready

To support the College Entrance Exam Prep Program CCDC Will: 1.Provide up to 11 schools to have a staff member serve as an adjunct 2.Provide at no cost to the school or student Accuplacer pre and post testing paid for through grants the Community College has received 3.The Accuplacer intervention will be provided at no cost to the school or student paid through grants awarded to the Community College 4.Students who achieve the cut scores will be able to attend most of the area community colleges without being enrolled in non-credit developmental education courses College Eligible vs. College Ready

College for a Day College Eligible vs. College Ready

College for a Day Program Dynamic and exciting program that serves as an introduction to higher education. It is customized specifically to fit the interest of participating students. Students spend a day visiting CCDC with the intent to get students excited about higher education. College Eligible vs. College Ready

The program can include many or all of the features below. Highlights Include: Class Visits Students have an opportunity to sit in on an actual course of their choosing to see college-level discussions. Academic and Career Explorations Academic presentations provided by various professional academic departments. Informational Programs Informational sessions in critical areas such as admissions and financial aid are presented to students. Campus Tours Student ambassadors accompany students, familiarizing them with the campus. Extracurricular Activities Students will have an opportunity to participate in campus events.
