When is the Chongyang Festival celebrated? Para. 1 On the ninth day of the ninth lunar month.

When did people begin to celebrate this festival? Why do we call the ninth day of the ninth lunar month “the Double Ninth Festival”? Para. 2 The Warring States Period. The number nine is regarded as yang and the ninth day of the ninth month is therefore a double yang day.
