The European flag The UE flag is composed of 12 yellows stars forming a circle in a blue background. These 12 stars represent the ideals of unity, solidarity and harmony among the peoples of Europe.

The European anthem and The Europe day The melody used to symbolize the EU comes from the Ninth Symphony which was created by Ludwig Van Beethoven in The founding ideas of the European Union were expressed for the first time on May 9th, 1950 by Robert Schuman (who was the French Minister of Foreign Affairs) because this is the first day of peace in Europe after World War II. So May, 9 th is a symbolic day.
