Temperate Woodland and Shrub land Biome Project By. Dillon Heiser and Tyler Hepler

Animals in biome. Coyotes, foxes, bobcats, California slender Salamander, mountain lions, black tailed deer, rabbits, squirrels, and birds like hawks. There are bugs and insects including: monarch butterflies, zebra butterfly, swallowtail butterfly. Flies, bees, killer bees, Dragonflies, stink beetles, spiders, and ladybugs. The spider is called the trapdoor spider.

A biotic The climate that has hot dry summers and cool moist winters. The soil is very poor and doesn’t have much nuiterets. Then there are often fires dude to the oils in the plants.

Plants in this biome. There are shrubs and trees like pine oak and evergreens. The plants have oils on their leave that hold moisture in but because it is a oil it is flameable.

Climate. The year round temperatures are from 10 degrees to 28 degrees Celsius. The average rainfall of this ecosystem is from 0 to 100 mm They have 4 seasons in a year.

Latitude Most of these types of forests and shrub lands are located in America and California and the western, USA

Conclusion This climate and ecosystem is full of diffrant plants and animals. It is a shrubby and and has a lot of woodland. It is often destroyed by fires due to the heat in the summers and the dry poor soil. It is hurt by fires because of the oil on the leaves of plants that are supposed to keep water in.
