The workshop has a separate area for receiving spares preloaded from stores. A list of tools and equipment specific to the workshop is maintained by the workshop. The shop also maintains a record of all tools that require calibration. 11 April 2017 Aircraft Maintenance Module

3. Sidewall laminate shop The workshop has a separate area for receiving spares preloaded from stores. A list of tools and equipment specific to the workshop is maintained by the workshop. The shop also maintains a record of all tools that require calibration. Sidewall panels are cleaned, minor composite repair carried out and new laminate installed in this section. U/S panels are received under work order from the U/S area and worked on IAW the relevant AMM procedure. Sidewall panels also received from aircraft undergoing C check on Repair / Refurbishment Ship-Shop-Ship Tracking Label for refurbishment/ inspection. 11 April 2017 Aircraft Maintenance Module

Aircraft Maintenance Module 4. Cabin Repair Shop The General repair shop has 21 work stations and is located in the additional cabin overhaul workshop adjacent to hangar G. The shop has approved technician and sufficient number of technicians / mechanics to carry out the day to day activities. The shop activities are under the overall supervision of an Engineer. The General Repair Shop has a separate area for receiving spares preloaded from stores. A list of tools and equipment specific to the workshop is maintained in the workshop. The shop also maintains a record of all tools that require calibration. 11 April 2017 Aircraft Maintenance Module

Cabin Repair Shop cont’d A separate room is available where all components waiting for spares are kept. Work orders for these components are updated and the part number/s of the required spare are mentioned in the work order. Completed and serviceable parts from the General Repair Shop are taken by the Stores Dispatch group from the centralized location in the general repair shop. General cabin furnishing spares are received under work order in this section and worked on IAW with the relevant CMMs and approved documents. 11 April 2017 Aircraft Maintenance Module

Aircraft Maintenance Module 5. Seat Cover Shop The shop has approved technician and sufficient number of mechanics to carry out the day to day activities. The shop activities are under the overall supervision of an Engineer. The shop activity is supported by a group of Trans-guard staff who assist in counting, packing, and segregation of the seat covers and curtains. The Trans-guard staff work under the supervision of the approved technician. Dress covers and curtains removed from aircraft are routed to the seat cover shop where they are segregated according to the part number and condition. Faded or torn covers are rejected, whilst the remainder are sent to laundry/cleaning. 11 April 2017 Aircraft Maintenance Module

Seat covers shop cont’d The covers are returned from the laundry where they are inspected again for condition and serviceability. The Engineer and approved technician are responsible for the quality control of the seat covers and curtains, where they are declared serviceable following satisfactory inspection. Damaged seat covers are returned to Repair Process for scrapping. The Engineer is responsible fro ensuring that batches of returned seat covers and curtains from laundry have a burn test certificate attached to the cleaning certificate. The seat covers are returned to stores with the respective certificate of conformity received from laundry. 11 April 2017 Aircraft Maintenance Module
