Rrrrrr to Remember Goal: I can connect quotes to the theme we are discovering this unit. Instructions: R1- Read each of the quotes, silently. Think…What is the common theme among them? R2- Read the quotes again, this time talk about what they have in common. Write…on the post-it rank the quotes from easiest to hardest to understand. 1- easiest, 4, hardest and stick on the poster. R3- Read quotes last time, this time look at the rankings. Answer…What is the quote telling you? On the poster, write your answer. Then, we will discuss and figure out which quote to use. PreAP Extension- phone or index card, copy the quote we chose as a class. Homework is to bring in a quote that justifies the theme from your perspective. Then, we discuss and pick which to use.

My Memory and My Choices Memories #1 Completely excited or proud of you #2- Completely excited or proud of someone else, not you #3 and #4- Struggle for you, any kind of hard time. “You lived, but tough time.” #5 and #6- Hilarious, made you laugh out loud moments. #7 - Embarrassing moment happened to you (willing to share) #8- Unfortunate or surprising clothing moment (malfunction, funny, messy) #9 and #10- Things you use to have, don’t have anymore, but wish you had # 11 and #12- Things you can do (skills, talents) Choices #13 and #14: Event that happened in the past year, at least, that make you realize something about life. - #15 and #16: Two things you own that are treasures. Some possessions are treasures, others are stuff. - #17 and #18: Two conversations you had since school started. With who and what about. - #19 and #20: Two choices made recently that have resulted in your learning something. - #21 and #22: Two thoughts that you have made an assumption about and later found out that assumption was wrong.
