Idiom Guessing Game

After studying the article, you’ve know that different cultures may cultivate different languages using habits. For example, Chinese people will ask: “Have you eaten?” as a greeting instead of saying “How are you?”

Languages will unavoidably related to the usage habit, that is, idiom.

So, we are going to find out what people mean when they use the following idioms.

Welcome to... A Game of X’s and O’s This activity is designed based on Mark E. Damon’s template.

the goal of this game is to answer questions correctly to form 3 X's or O's across, up and down, or diagonally.

What should be done first… Please separate the class into two teams. Play the game of paper-scissor- stone to decide which team goes first, and which symbol they’d like to choose (o or x).

The first team gets the first chance to pick out the square they want to answer. If the answer is correct, type their symbol on the square they choose and in the same time, they win another chance to answer another square. How to play

If they continue to win, they have the right to type their symbol on the square they choose ; if their answer to the square is wrong, another team wins that square without answering it, and has the chance to choose another square to answer. Get three of your symbols in a line, and your team gets ONE point (please type your score in the scoreboard ). The team that gets more lines means more scores. How to play

Example Allen: Rose, You spend too much time putting on your makeup. Come on, shake a leg! Rose: I will be finished in a minute. Allen: You’ve got to hurry or else we will miss the last train!
