PEDAGOGY An explanatory talk-performance of the hegemonic pedagogical model and a possible alternative found in “The ignorant Schoolmaster” by Jacques Ranciere presented at: Millman Street Community Centre, London (December 2007)

PEDAGOGY In the English-speaking world the term pedagogy refers to the science or theory of educating: strategies of instruction or a style of instruction or still, the empty science of teaching how to teach

Everything in one CIENCIASEXATASHUMANAS DISCIPLINE STYLE DOMAIN SIGNATURE AUTHORITY BASED ON KNOWLEDGE = SUPERIORITY

Everything in one – machina explicatoria The task to which the republican hearts and minds are devoted is to make an equal society out of unequal men, to reduce inequality indefinitely. But whoever takes this position has only one way of carrying it through to the end, and that is the integral pedagogicization of society – the general infantilization of the individuals that make it up. Later on this will be called continuing education, that is to say, the coextension of the explicatory institution with society. Society will have reduced its inequalities once it has been entirely transformed into a society of explicated explicators.
