Making a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Erica Rivera Technology Competency #12

Step 1 – Gather all Ingredients! You will need peanut butter, jelly, and bread.

Step 2 – Spread Peanut Butter evenly on One Slice of Bread Stir peanut butter beforehand to soften and make it easier to spread.

Step 3 – Spread Jelly on Other Slice of Bread You can use a teaspoon or a knife!

Step 4 – Press the Two Slices of Bread Together! Press the pieces of bread together quickly to avoid getting peanut butter and jelly everywhere!

Step 5 – Cut the Sandwich The best way to cut a sandwich is diagonally, from one corner to another! You will get two triangular pieces.

Step 6 – Eat the Sandwich! Make sure you wash your hands afterwards!

Justification This slideshow is to be used to teacher students with autism how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich using task analysis. Task analysis is taught to help students complete tasks by breaking down each step into manageable pieces. This can be used to in the classroom and also can be used by parents of these learners to assist a student with autism at home.
