Purpose: To teach the art of mastering the Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich. Audience: The audience includes people 8 years and older. When: This process should be performed anytime you are hungry.
Safety Information: ◦ Beware of sharp knives. ◦ Ensure food the is not dated. ◦ Ensure the workspace is sanitary.
Materials: ◦ 2 slices of Bread ◦ Jar of Peanut Butter Either crunchy or creamy (your preference!) ◦ Jar of your favorite Jelly ◦ Paper Towel ◦ Butter knife
Process: ◦ 1) Gather all of the mentioned materials and lay them on the counter. ◦ 2)Rip off one paper towel from the roll.
Process Cont’d: ◦ 3) Open up the bread and remove two pieces, placing them flat on the paper towel. ◦ 4) Unscrew the tops of both the Peanut Butter & Jelly jars.
Process Cont’d: ◦ 5) Using the knife, scoop out approximately 2 tbsp. of Peanut Butter. ◦ 6) Spread the Peanut Butter onto one of the pieces of bread on one side, ensuring only the crust is visible.
Process Cont’d: ◦ 7) Using the same knife, scoop out your desired amount of jelly. ◦ 8) Spread the jelly on the unused piece of bread, again ensuring you cover the entire surface area
Process Cont’d: ◦ Your halves should look like this ◦ 9)Pick up the piece of bread with the jelly on it, and lay it jelly- side down on top of the piece with peanut butter. ◦ 10) Eat & Enjoy!

Be sure to gather all of the supplies before making your own PB & J sandwich. Always use care when dealing with knives. A paper towel creates a make-shift plate. If you have any questions, feel free to ask your MOM!
