Swedish Enforcement Authority Debtor adapted investigation – a focus for the future Mr. Mats Bengtsson

Enforce and activate Private and public claims Vision: ”A driving force so that everyone pays and nobody gets over indebted” Central part of the vision: both activate our customers and enforce claims We never compromise on our mission to enforce

Enforce and activate Try to get the debtor active to resolve his financial situation sustainable Activate creditor may be difficult Signals of −“unnecessary claims” −assets −contact information Convey information to key account managers

Enforce and activate Time to convince the debtor and the creditor to act theme selves Get deeper in to some investigations Debtors are the main source of information, Debtor's own motivation and ability to act is the main base for long term solutions to his financial situation.

Business model debtors and claims Public: and Private: Each year new first-time debtors Investigation report 1.we investigate whether there are assets to seize 2.and the ability of the debtor to generate new assets Knowledge we use for new claims

Business model The operating model now also contain elements meant to activate the debtors to take initiative to resolve their situation sustainable. The quality of our work consists of how good we are to: 1.activate 2.investigate 3.find assets 4.transform the property into cash And what time all this will take

Purpose of debtor adapted investigation Working more with the cases that require more investigation and gives better results Less on those cases where we can’t provide payment to a creditor or get an activated debtor Debtor adapted investigation briefly: −Better quality −Increased customer satisfaction −Better working environment

What have we done. 1.When stop investigating 2.How get more time to investigate further on certain debtors. We don’t do anything in cases where it’s not likely to find assets Nor in cases with lack of sufficient contact information or other conditions to activate the debtor Our staff must feel comfortable in these choice situations.

Trailing We sort the debtors in order to start up the processing fast enough and with adequate efforts adapted to the specific case We call this “trailing” the debtor In the future, we imagine that the choice of investigative trail is done automatically Choice is based on the opportunity of finding assets and the possibility of coming in contact with the debtor to find out if there are assets and to activate the debtor

Monitoring 1.Time is given priority over quality when we can’t find the assets or are not able to activate the debtor 2.Quality takes priority over time when there are additional assets to find or good condition to activate the debtor 3.Time is given priority when it comes to property that may lose value quickly or disappear.
