Multiple Sales entry and its Bill to Bill adjustment In business, multiple transactions between firms take place. When payment for them is done normally it is FIFO method i.e. first bill is paid first and so sequence is maintained. Here in Bill to Bill one can choose any bill for payment and the bill paid, pending and due report can be seen. Here we are taking the case of three sales bills. On Account adjustment in Bill to Bill transactions In times of crisis, firms with good relations take advances from each other and this amount is adjusted against purchase or sale transaction. Miracle allows this kind of transaction using Bill to Bill adjustment known as “On Account”. We will understand this by taking an example. We take an advance of Rs. 7,000 from a debtor Mr. Deep. Afterwards we adjust this 7,000 Rupees against a sales transaction of Rs.7500 that takes place and the difference of Rs.500 is shown as receivable in Bill Receivables. We will learn how to make the entries for, Make an “On Account” entry for the advance taken from Mr. Deep In the particular of the above entry give a reference number (in our case S-201) which will be used in bill to bill adjustment while making the sales entry. Make the sales entry and in Bill to Bill adjustment give adj. type as “On Account” and in particular give the same reference number (S-201) and pass the entry. Refer the Bills Receivable Report and one can see an “On Account” Pending Amount of Rs. 500 and the Bank Receipt (BRct) and Sale transaction. Main Menu

Adjustment between Purchase and Sales Normally in business it can happen that a person might be a debtor and a creditor too. We might sell the goods to him and then later on we may purchase the goods from him also. The amount that we should get as receivable through sales can be adjusted against payment through the purchase of goods. We will see here how to do the adjustment between Sales and Purchase. First we will make an entry for sales and create a reference using particular i.e. the Bill Number Then we will make an entry for purchase and use the particular given in sales voucher as adjustment for purchase.
