Insects are the most diverse and numerous of the arthropods. 1.1 million different species.

Characteristics of insects The body is divided in three segments:l Head which contains the eyes and the antennae.

Characteristics of insects Thorax where the six legs are attached, and two or four wings.

Characteristics of insects Abdomen which contains the heart and stomach

Insect Life Cycle Metamorphosis is the process by which all insects mature.

Different kinds of metamorphosis Gradual metamorphosis: the simplest form of metamorphosis.
