BLACK SATURDAY Black Saturday occurred on 7TH February 2009 . Their were 173 people killed by these fires and 2,030 Houses destroyed. 414 people were injured. The worst of the fires were located in the Eastern state of Victoria.

LIGHTNING This fascinating picture was taken over Pentagon city in Arlington, Virginia. The date of this extreme lightning was on the 23 of July 2005. The sound of the lightning scared nearly everyone in the entire city.

Most of Southern and Central Queensland was affected, including Brisbane, Rockhampton, Emerald, Bundaberg, Dalby, Toowoomba, Roma and Ipswich. 38 PEOPLE were killed and 6 people were clamed missing. Most people died at Toowoomba. The damaged caused by the floods was $2.38 billion dollars Queensland floods went from December 2010 to January 2011. Queensland floods

Melbourne Dust Storm. Dust storm Melbourne dust storm occurred on February 8th 1983 it affected most of Victoria, Australia and the capital of Melbourne. This dust storm is the worst in Australia history, it started just before 3:00, and the worst of the dust storm finished just after 4:00pm. Their was approximately 1,000 tonnes of dust dropped onto the city. It was estimated that it would take 10 years to repair and tens of millions of dollars to repair.

Ash Wednesday! 2,676 people were injured, and killed 103 people. This bad fire caused years of extreme drought, and was caused by faulty powerlines, arson and negligence. This fire managed to burn 513,979 acres in south australia, and 518,921 acres in victoria in just one day.

Mount Feather-top Bush Fires Mount Feathertop is the second-highest mountain in the Australian state of Victoria. The mount Feather top bush fire took place on January 22 2013. The fire, believed to have been caused by lighting strikes on Monday night, intensified yesterday afternoon, forcing the closure of national parks and state forests between Harrietville, Hotham Heights and Falls Creek.
