YEAR 5 Local Church – Community MISSION LF1 Good News for the Poor ScriptureChristian Beliefs A Christian receives the power of the Holy Spirit in a special way during confirmation. The Church is called to continue the work of Jesus Christian Life; Beliefs and Values Service – especially of the poor Witness and mission Experiences, feelings and ideas Have you seen ‘the poor’ today? How did it make you feel? What could you do or have you done to help the poor?? Sacraments Confirmation - the anointing with the oil of chrism where the Bishop says ‘be sealed with the Holy Spirit’. The candidate is ‘set apart’ and called to continue the mission of Jesus. Each diocese is led by a bishop who continues the work of the 12 apostles who continued the work of Jesus. Jesus is the head of these families.
