 Introduction  Activities  Simulating Natural Objects and some fractal applications  Activities  Some fractals application

 Is a complex images are generated by simple mathematical formulas.  The fractal is a computer-generated image that graphically represents the behaviour of a mathematical equation.

 Fractals are used in movies for landscapes, dinosaur skin textures, etc. Dinousaur in Jurassic Park were done using a fractal model.  This is exactly the process that we use to generated fractal landscapes. Introduce randomness into the equation, we can no longer talk about fractal dimension as an analytical property of the system.

 How are used the fractals in movies?  How is modelled a fractal?  Name the process to create fractals in nature  Which statistical properties are used?

 1)Fractals are used in movies for landscapes, dinosaur skin textures, etc. For exemple created dinosaurs in Jurassic Park were done using a fractal model.  2)

 There are three types of applications:  Medical advances: Viruses and bacteria have fractal surfaces that determine how they invade the body and position themselves to interfere with the body functions. The AIDS virus has been modelled with fractal geometry to help understand the unusually long incubation process. Cancers can now be detected by measuring the fractal dimension of cell structure Bone fractures are fractal in nature and the application of fractal geometry is being used in their healing.  Science: Scientiists now work with fractal geometry to locate oil, identify geologic faults, and possibly predicting earthquakes. Acid rain and corrosion can be modelled using fractal geometry. Even the big bang theory and understanding the structure of the structure of the universe can be improved with fractals.  Technology:The antenna for a mobile phone is fractal.
