Temporary Visitor Drivers License

 Non-citizens of the U.S.  Those who have been granted temporary, legal entry into this country  Temporarily residing in the State of Illinois  Ineligible for a Social Security number  Be authorized to be in the country for at least one year and have at least six months remaining on an authorized stay

 D, L, M, DL or DM for the operation of a personal car, motorcycle, or motor driven cycle

Identification Documentation  name  date of birth  Illinois residency  verification of written signature Examples: Utility bill Lease/Dorm agreement Postmarked US mail

 SEVIS I-20 or DS-2019 (Original & a Copy)  I-94 (Original & a Copy)  Valid Passport (Original & a Copy)  Rejection Letter from the Social Security Administration received within 30 days prior to the application of TVDL

 Valid for three years  Or for the period of time the individual is authorized to stay in this country, whichever ends sooner.  Renewable – not before 90 days of current license expiration date
