KS3 SCIENCE St James Catholic High School

Year 7 The relevance of science to the work place is emphasised by reference to the many career and job opportunities available using the subject knowledge from the taught modules.

We teach through a modular course which has been developed over the past few years to provide both subject knowledge and development of skills.

The modules cover subject knowledge from all aspects of science. Biology Chemistry Physics Astronomy Human Biology

Year 8 The curriculum is delivered through a thematic approach using a scheme of work developed by the Association for Science Education.

Teaches the skills of How Science Works Makes all science relevant and contemporary Delivers achievement and understanding of the Big Ideas in science. Prepares students for Assessments
