Implementation of Plastering Works Rules of plastering implementation: 1- Cleaning the surface 2- Remove reliefs and fill holes (in layers not exceeding 15 mm) 3- Spray water 4- Fix metal laths 5- Scratch coat – after 24 hours spray water for one day and leave it to dry 6- To achieve a level surface apply leveling elements at the level of brown coat((البقج والودعات ملاحظة: من عيوب البقج والودعات أنها مكلفة للمواد وللوقت و لا تستخدم في غزة لهذا السبب ولأن البلوك المستخدم في البناء منتظم ومستو والعمال مهرة ومدربين 9

Implementation of Plastering Works Rules of plastering implementation (con.): 7- Applying brown coat and leave it for 24 hours , scratch it and spray water for one day. 2- Apply final coat and smooth the surface , leave it for 24 hours and spray water for 2 days. Notes: - It brown coat more than15 mm apply it on layers and if more than 30 mm add a galvanized metal lath. - Use mortar in one hour only. - Do not reuse falling mortar unless the surface is clean and in a period of less than half an hour. - In construction joints of plaster stop plastering in a horizontal and vertical straight lines and with rough inclined edges – and when continue, clean, rough, spray water and add (roba) to the joints. 11

Special kinds of Plaster Granulate: الجرانوليت A special layer of plaster composed of aggregates, cement, sand and glue applied on surfaces after basic layers. It has many advantages and could have many shapes by using aluminum for forming the shapes. Marmarina:المرمرينا ( السمسمية ) A decorative final layer applied of typical plastering layers and has many advantages in water proofing and decoration. Composed of ground marble, acrylic materials, glue and other additions. Surfaces should be painted with Pendrol before applying Marmarina. Apply the whole surface continuously without making joints. 12

Special kinds of Plaster Lime Plastering: قصارة الجير A plaster used in internal surfaces Same layers of internal plaster except final coat Final coat is composed of: Lime, cement and fine sand Gives more leveled surface Have some advantages and disadvantages 13

Defects in Plastering الامور الواجب مراعاتها وفحصها عند قبول استلام القصارة: التموج التطبيل التشققات: سطحية ودقيقة غائرة اختلاف اللون بقع الصدأ عدم استواء الأسطح والزوايا والحواف ملاحظة: تناقش اسباب كل من تلك العيوب وطرق فحصها ووسائل علاجها 16
