Supplier Portal Status, Services and Benefits

Supplier Portal Implementation Status 11 out of the 18 PAE authorities have now signed up to implement the BiP supplier portal (Project notice system and Select supplier database) and about half have now implemented the system and advised their suppliers of the new procedures: 1. Basildon District Council 2. Castle Point Borough Council 3. Chelmsford Borough Council 4. Colchester Borough Council 5. Epping Forest District Council 6. Essex County Fire & Rescue Services 7. Harlow District Council 8. Maldon District Council 9. Southend-on-Sea Borough Council 10. St George Community Housing 11. Tendring District Council

Supplier Portal Status TOTAL NOTICES: 164 notices of contract opportunities have been published through the PAE portal in total (to 30 th Sept 08), 100 of these since January ’08. Current pan-Essex contract opportunities available on the PAE websitePAE website TOTAL SUPPLIERS: 1390 have registered to the PAE site so far TOTAL BUYERS: nationally there are now 6334 (143 are PAE Buyers), which includes buyers from over 500 local authorities

The Supplier Accreditation Service The BiP Select Service offers 2 levels of assessment:- Select Certify Select Accredit Select Accredit suppliers have been rigorously assessed by Capita to the same standards as Constructionline. Constructionline Suppliers do not need to apply for Select Accredit and will be listed on the BIP Select Service. They need to register on to receive contract opportunity information.
