Affordable Housing Delivery Report 2013/2014 Housing Strategy and Development

Affordable Homes Completed in During a total of 46 Affordable Homes were completed. Currently there are over 200 new homes under construction across the borough.

Breakdown by Tenure During 2013 there were 33 Affordable Rented units 12 Shared ownership units and 1 Social Rented unit completed across the borough.

Breakdown by Size

Help to Buy Equity Loans In Quarters 1 2 & 3 there were 27 completions under the Help to Buy Equity Loans Scheme for Homes both at Southfields and Springhead Enquiries & Applications Help to Buy is a Government backed scheme which provides a range of Intermediate products including shared ownership & equity loans.

Quarterly Lettings including Conversions During Conversions from Social Rent to Affordable Rent were monitored on a quarterly basis. 26% of the total numbers of relets were converted to Affordable Rent.

Empty Property Statistics Our Empty Properties Team have worked hard throughout bringing empty properties back into use, achieving beyond their original target of 35 to a staggering 58 for the year.

Holding Hands Following its launch in October 2012 and up to March 2013, the pilot Holding Hands under-occupation scheme facilitated moves for 11 households, over 5% of the total lettings in that period. In April 2013, it was agreed that the pilot had been successful and the scheme was adopted. Between April 2013 and March 2014, 21 households took part in the Holding Hands scheme.
