Munajaat #9- The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

إِلـٰهِي مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي ذَاقَ حَلاوَةَ مَحَبَّتِكَ، My God, who can have tasted the sweetness of Your love, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

فَرامَ مِنْكَ بَدَلاً؟ then wanted another in place of You? Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي أَنِسَ بِقُرْبِكَ، Who can have become intimate with Your nearness, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

فَابْتَغَىٰ عَنْكَ حِوَلاً؟ then sought removal from You? Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

إِلـٰهِي فَاجْعَلْنا مِمَّنِ اصْطَفَيْتَهُ لِقُرْبِكَ وَوِلايَتِكَ، My God, place us with him whom You have chosen for Your nearness and Your friendship, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَأَخْلَصْتَه لِوُدّ ِكَ وَمَحَبَّتِكَ، Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers purified through Your affection and Your love,

وَشَوَّقْتَهُ إِلىٰ لِقَائِكَ، Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers given yearning for the meeting with You,

وَرَضَّيْتَهُ بِقَضائِكَ، made pleased with Your decree, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَمَنَحْتَهُ بِالنَّظَرِ إلىٰ وَجْهِكَ، granted gazing upon Your face, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَحَبَوْتَهُ بِرِضاكَ، Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers shown the favour of Your good pleasure,

وَأَعَدْتَهُ مِنْ هَجْرِكَ وَقِلاكَ، given refuge from separation from You and Your loathing, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَبَوَّأْتَهُ مَقْعَدَ الصّـِدْقِ فِي جَوارِكَ، settled in a sure sitting place in Your neighbourhood, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَخَصَصْتَهُ بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ، singled out for true knowledge of You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَأَهَّلْتَهُ لِعِبادَتِكَ، made worthy for worship of You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَهَيَّمْتَ قَلْبَهُ لِإِرادَتِكَ، whose heart You have captivated with Your will, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَاجْتَبَيْتَهُ لِمُشاهَدَتِكَ، whom You have picked for contemplating You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَأَخْلَيْتَ وَجْهَهُ لَكَ، whose look You have made empty for You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَفَرَّغْتَ فُؤادَهُ لِحُبّـِكَ، whose breast You have freed for Your love, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَرَغَّبْتَهُ فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ، whom You have made desirous of what is with You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَأَلْهَمْتَهُ ذِكْرَكَ، inspired with Your remembrance, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَأَوْزَعْتَهُ شُكْرَكَ، allotted thanksgiving to You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَشَغَلْتَهُ بِطاعَتِكَ، occupied with obeying You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَصَيَّرْتَهُ مِنْ صالِحِي بَرِيَّتِكَ، turned into one of Your righteous creatures, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَاخْتَرْتَهُ لِمُناجاتِكَ، chosen for whispered prayer to You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَقَطَعْتَ عَنْهُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ يَقْطَعُهُ عَنْكَ. and from whom You have cut off all things which cut him off from You! Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ دَأْبُهُمُ الارْتِياحُ إلَيْكَ وَالْحَنِينُ، O God, place us among those whose habit is rejoicing in You and yearning for You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَدَهْرُهُمُ الزَّفْرَةُ وَالأَنِينُ، whose time is spent in sighing and moaning! Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

جِباهُهُمْ سَاجِدَةٌ لِعَظَمَتِكَ، Their foreheads are bowed down before Your mightiness, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَعُيُونُهُمْ ساهِرَةٌ فِي خِدْمَتِكَ، their eyes wakeful in Your service, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَدُمُوُعُهُمْ سائِلَةٌ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ، their tears flowing in dread of You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَقُلُوبُهُمْ مُتَعَلّـِقَةٌ بِمَحَبَّتِكَ، their hearts fixed upon Your love, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ مُنْخَلِعَةٌ مِنْ مَهابَتِكَ، their cores shaken with awe of You. Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

يا مَنْ أَنْوارُ قُدْسِهِ لِأَبْصارِ مُحِبّـِيهِ رائِقَةٌ، O He the lights of whose holiness induce wonder in the eyes of His lovers, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَسُبُحاتُ وَجْهِهِ لِقُلُوبِ عارِفيهِ شائِقَةٌ، the glories of whose face arouse the longing of the hearts of His knowers! Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

يا مُنىٰ قُلُوبِ الْمُشْتاقِينَ، O Furthest Wish of the hearts of the yearners! Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَيا غَايَةَ آمالِ الْمُحِبّـِينَ O Utmost Limit of the hopes of the lovers! Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ، I ask from You love for You, love for those who love You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَحُبَّ كُلّ ِ عَمَلٍ يُوصِلُنِي إلىٰ قُرْبِكَ، love for every work which will join me to Your nearness, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَكَ أَحَبَّ إلَيَّ مِمَّا سِواكَ and that You make Yourself more beloved to me than anything other than You Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ حُبّـِي إيَّاكَ قائِداً إلىٰ رِضْوانِكَ، and make my love for You lead to Your good pleasure, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَشَوْقِي إلَيْكَ ذائِداً عَنْ عِصْيانِكَ، and my yearning for You protect against disobeying You! Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَامْنُنْ بِالنَّظَرِ إلَيْكَ عَلَيَّ، Oblige me by allowing me to gaze upon You, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَانْظُرْ بِعَيْنِ الْوُدّ ِ وَالْعَطْفِ إلَيَّ، gaze upon me with the eye of affection and tenderness, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَلا تَصْرِفْ عَنّـِي وَجْهَكَ، turn not Your face away from me, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِ الإِسْعادِ وَالْحُظْوَةِ عِنْدَكَ، and make me one of the people of happiness with You and favoured position! Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

يا مُجِيبُ، O Responder, Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

يا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ O Most Merciful of the merciful! Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers
