Presentation transcript:

Maximum learning is always the result of maximum student involvement, for we always learn by doing. --Howard Hendricks

How Do You Measure Spiritual Transformation? Numerical Growth— Is bringing others to church part of their lifestyle? Spiritual Transformation— How are they doing in their relationship with Christ, Believers, the Unsaved? Are they practicing Christian Disciplines? Ministry Expansion— Are they serving in at least one area of ministry? Kingdom Advance— Are they demonstrating a desire to become involved in missions?

A Picture of Spiritual Transformation 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing those from whom you learned, 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:14-17 (HCSB)

Jesus’ Ministry Describe what you believe Jesus’ mission was. Describe the time he spent with His disciples. How does this relate to your leadership as a Sunday School leader? Could it be accomplished with 156 hours (3 years times 52 weeks) of one-hour Bible study lessons? If not, then how can we expect better results?

Jeremiah 18:4 (KJV) And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

James 1:22-25 (HCSB) But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror; 24 for he looks at himself, goes away, and right away forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer who acts—this person will be blessed in what he does.
