STATEMENT OF FAITH We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, as revealed in the Scriptures by His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His position at the right hand of God.

WHY STUDY ABOUT JESUS CHRIST? So we might become like Him. 1 John 2:5,6

JESUS WAS FULLY GOD. What 3 things does John 1:1 say that shows Jesus is the Son of God?

JESUS WAS FULLY GOD. What 3 things does John 1:1 say that shows Jesus is the Son of God? “In the beginning was the Word.” Jesus is eternal. As with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, there has never been a time when Jesus did not exist.

JESUS WAS FULLY GOD. What 3 things does John 1:1 say that shows Jesus is the Son of God? “And the Word was with God.” This means Jesus exists with God. He is part of the eternal Godhead. The Word was with God the Father, and He is still there.

JESUS WAS FULLY GOD. What 3 things does John 1:1 say that shows Jesus is the Son of God? “And the Word was God.” This doesn’t mean Jesus is God the Father; rather, it means Jesus is God in essence. Jesus is divine and has all the characteristics of deity.

JESUS WAS FULLY GOD. There are other passages in the Bible that point to Jesus’ deity. Read Col. 2:9 and 1:19. What do these verses say about Jesus?
