APOSTLE THOMAS’ COMPLETE CONVERSION AND CONVICTION John 20:24-30 Rev. Dr. Samuel P. Fernandez PREACHER James Obsequio LITURGIST

“Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” (v. 25, NIV)

“A week later his disciples were in the again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,

‘Because you have seen me, you have believed;

 The Scripture text taken out of context will give us the impression that Apostle Thomas never trusted his Master, that he always doubted His Providence. Many sermons have been essayed on the subject: “Doubting Thomas.”

Have faith in God and have faith in me.

‘I am the way, the truth, and the life!’ Jesus answered. ‘Without me, no one can go to the Father. If you had known me, you would have known the Father. But from now on, you do know him, and you have seen him.’ ” (John 14:1-7, CEV) ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life!’ Jesus answered. ‘Without me, no one can go to the Father. If you had known me, you would have known the Father. But from now on, you do know him, and you have seen him.’ ” (John 14:1-7, CEV)

 If Apostle Thomas was present at the Last Supper, he was also present at the Last Breakfast. “Jesus later appeared to his disciples along the shore of Lake Tiberias. Simon Peter, Thomas the Twin, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, and the brothers James and John, were there, together with two other disciples. Simon Peter said, ‘I’m going fishing!’ “Jesus later appeared to his disciples along the shore of Lake Tiberias. Simon Peter, Thomas the Twin, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, and the brothers James and John, were there, together with two other disciples. Simon Peter said, ‘I’m going fishing!’

To Author Charles Caleb Colton in his work Lacon, “Doubt is the vestibule which all must pass before they can enter into the temple of truth.”

He that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven by the winds.” James 1:6, KJV)

God expects us to hold on to our faith. Doubt all you can until nothing is left but faith in God’s Providence. Doubt until you will have conversion and conviction.
