What are The Effects of Child labor?

Child Labor Child labor is reported as one of the social problems in Lebanon, especially in underserved urban neighborhoods of the major cities and in rural areas. What follows is a situation assessment of the working children in Lebanon, based on the data made available by the Population and Household Survey conducted by the Ministry of Social Affairs in 1996.

There are several effects of child labor, both on the child and the society. Child gets deprived from the basic education and the society also suffers due to this.

1. 1-Child labor deprives a child of a proper childhood He suffers physical and mental torture He becomes mentally and emotionally mature too fast which is a dangerous sign Child labor creates and perpetuates poverty It condemns the child to a life of unskilled, badly paid work Ultimatly this leads to child labor with each generation of poor children undercutting wages.

Are there any more good and bad effects of child labor?

Here’s what I have so far... Advantages 1- They could help out their parents to earn money for their daily expenses. 2-good work experience. 3-can help raise money to pay for education at a later date.

Disadvantages 1 -The children could get involved in bad activities like drugs, robbery, etc. 2-There would be no chance for them to earn a good job because in this lifetime, you need to have a good education to have a decent job. 3-Children may not be taught how to save money, and therefore never save money to pay for a later education. 4-Could be used as a source of cheap labor, not allowing enough money to be accumulated over time to help pay for their education. 5-May lead to a more uneducated workforce which will decrease the efficiency of the workforce. 6-Children will miss out on having fun early in life. 7-Immaturity may actually hinder work from being accomplished (i.e. goofing off, sleeping, or not paying attention to particular details that a consumer would).

People would boycott companies that allow child labor in a heartbeat. However, if the public education system were to be deregulated, then I think child labor would be a good way for children to help finance their education because you would appreciate something more if you actually had to help pay for it.

More disadvantage effects of child labor. There are very bad effects of child labor on our society, which forces some children to steal things from others in order to satisfy their daily living. Many small girls are even made to indulge in prostitution. A recent case of child labor came into picture where a 10 year old kid was beaten to death because the innocent kid was slow at things. The cruel owner went angry and threw the child across the room resulting in the most extreme punishments. It was not only the cruel owner who was at the fault, but the parents of the child were also equally involved in this incident. They took $10 in advance and sent their child to work for the sake of getting some monthly income. May be even the parents would never have thought that a little sum of money could lead to such horrible incident.

So, people help!!!!!!

Let us all take some step in this direction so that we can bring smiles to many faces and make this world a beautiful place for a child to live in. We can make difference! We can make difference!

Help us to help children! Minister of Social Affairs
