SPE Renewal Scholarship Winners

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SENIOR Sara Coulthard Sara attends Texas A&M University where next year she will be a senior studying petroleum engineering. She is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and is active in SPE and Pi Epsilon Tau. Last summer she worked for Pioneer Natural Resources Co. in Midland. This summer she will work as a reservoir engineering intern for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in The Woodlands.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SENIOR Stefan Lattimer Stefan will be a senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in petroleum engineering. Last summer he worked for Chevron Corp. as a cased hole and drilling intern. He will spend this summer working as a reservoir engineer in Houston for Chevron’s properties in Africa. He is active in SPE, American Association of Drilling Engineers, the UT Ski Club, and Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SENIOR Kimberly Sliva Kimberly will be a senior petroleum engineering student at Texas A&M University. In College Station, she is active in the SPE student chapter and Pi Epsilon Tau Honor Society. She sings with the Brazos Valley Chorale and volunteers with Help One Student To Succeed. Last summer Kimberly worked as a reservoir engineer intern for H.J. Gruy and Associates Inc. in Houston, and this summer she will work for ConocoPhillips Inc. on onshore properties.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP Andrea Songy Andrea will be a senior in petroleum engineering at Louisiana State University in the fall. She spent last summer working for Chevron Corp. in the Gulf of Mexico. Andrea is active in the SPE student chapter and Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SENIOR Brandon Sullens Brandon will be a senior in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. He is active in the American Association of Drilling Engineers and SPE student chapters and the TAMU Off Road Club. This past summer Brandon worked for Kerr-McGee Corp. in the Gulf of Mexico. His next internship will be with Chevron Corp. in Houston as a drilling engineer for the Gulf of Mexico.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SENIOR Tyler Turner Tyler attends the University of Texas at Austin where next year he will be a senior majoring in petroleum engineering. He is active in the SPE student chapter. Last summer Tyler interned offshore for Kerr-McGee Corp. This summer he will intern as a reservoir engineer for Newfield Exploration Co. in Houston.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SENIOR Jenny Vorpahl Jenny will be a senior majoring in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. She worked last summer for BP plc in Alaska as a production engineer intern and will return this summer as a reservoir engineer intern. Jenny is involved in the SPE student chapter, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Texas A&M judo team.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - JUNIOR Kevin Brienen Kevin attends the University of Texas at Austin where next year he will be a junior majoring in petroleum engineering. He actively participates in Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Eta Sigma, and SPE. He has worked for Knowledge Reservoir LP for the past two summers.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - JUNIOR Stephanie Currie Stephanie will be a junior in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. She spent last summer working as a field intern for Devon Energy Corp. in east Texas and will work as a field intern for Amerada Hess Corp. in North Dakota. She will be the SPE student chapter treasurer and formerly served as secretary of the Texas A&M student chapter of the American Association of Drilling Engineers.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - JUNIOR Christopher Gornet Christopher will be a junior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in petroleum engineering. He is involved with SPE and the American Association of Drilling Engineers. This past summer he interned as an ordinary seaman with Transocean Offshore Drilling on the Discoverer Deep Seas.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - JUNIOR Joshua Mallery Josh will be a junior in petroleum engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He worked for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in La Grange last summer and will work for ConocoPhillips Inc.'s offshore group this summer. He is an active member of SPE, the National Society of Black Engineers, and Inroads.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - JUNIOR Aprill Nelson Aprill attends the Colorado School of Mines where next year she will be a junior majoring in petroleum engineering. She is involved in the McBride Honors Program, SPE and AADE student chapters and serves as a Mines Ambassador. She worked as a reservoir engineering intern for Dominion in Houston last summer and will return as a production engineering intern this summer.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - JUNIOR Leigh Whittington Leigh will be a junior in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. Last summer, she interned for Kinder Morgan in Snyder, Texas. She will work for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. this summer in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She is active in SEC, SPE, and AADE.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Jeffrey Allen Jeffrey will be a sophomore in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. He is involved in SPE. Jeffrey worked for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. last summer as a precollege intern.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Gabriel Barragan Gabriel will be a sophomore in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. He is involved in the Regents Scholar leadership organization, SPE, and SHE. He played soccer on Texas A&M’s national championship team. This summer he will work for Chevron Corp. in the Gulf of Mexico.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Eric Calderon Eric will be a sophomore in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. Last summer, he worked for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in The Woodlands, and he will work for Chevron Corp. in New Orleans this summer. He is involved in the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, SPE, SEC, and Young Republicans.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Brian Hicks Brian attends Texas A&M University where next year he will be a sophomore majoring in petroleum engineering. He is involved in SPE, Fish Camp, and Freshmen Leaders in Progress. Last summer, he worked for Collarini Energy Staffing Inc. This summer, he will be working offshore for Rowan Companies.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Kevin McClelland Kevin will be a sophomore in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. Last summer he worked as a precollege intern for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and will work as a drilling engineering intern for Chevron Corp. in Houston this summer. RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Terry Renfrow Terry attends Texas Tech University where next year he will be a sophomore majoring in petroleum engineering. Last summer he worked as a precollege intern for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in The Woodlands. He will intern this summer for ConocoPhillips Inc. in Eunice, Louisiana. He is a member of SPE, American Association of Drilling Engineers, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Nicholas Schilling Nicholas attends Texas A&M University where next year he will be a sophomore majoring in petroleum engineering. He worked for BP plc last summer as a precollege intern in Houston. Nicholas is an active SPE member.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Ryan Shook Ryan will be a sophomore in petroleum engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Last summer, he worked as a precollege intern for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in The Woodlands, and he will intern with the company again this summer in Vernon, Louisiana. He participates in the student chapters of SPE, SEC, and AADE.

RENEWAL SCHOLARSHIP - SOPHMORE Jonathan Wells Jonathan will be a sophomore in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University. Last summer he worked as a precollege intern for Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and will work for the company in Elkhart, Kansas this summer. He is a member of SPE and the first floor representative for Wells Hall Council.
