The Beginning November 2004 November 2004 Deborah Tollefson and Takeila Hall had a dream: “To encourage disadvantaged Middle School students to begin considering attending college after finishing high school by providing tuition to a summer enrichment program at a North Carolina college or university.”

I chose to go to UNCG, and the classes I chose were Myth Busting and Forensics which I had to attend for two hours every day. I also enjoyed playing tug o war and all the other sports I got to do. This was a great experience and I appreciate you considering me for this wonderful opportunity. “Tyler Bare is doing great! The camp really had an impact on him. He is still very interested in the CSI crime departments and still plans to pursue that as his career. He has been chosen as Student of the Month each year he has been here at Alleghany High School and has accepted several award each year in various subjects- one being most improved in Science.
