Goals of UMBC  Advance the computational and service training of university students, faculty and partners in multicore technologies.  Establish UMBC as world-wide center of competence in hybrid multicore computing education.  Create forum for active engagements between industry and academia to shape future developments in hybrid multicore technologies.  Provide internship and career opportunities for students to engage with industry and government in projects of relevance to the environment, aerospace, business intelligence, medical research and situational awareness of extreme events.
