American Hero

Who are some famous people or celebrities? Why are these people famous?

There is nothing wrong with being a celebrity, but it takes MUCH more to be a hero.

Merriam Webster Definition A person admired for his/her achievements and noble qualities One who shows great courage An object of extreme admiration and devotion.

American Hero A hero is someone who is admired for their outstanding qualities or achievements; somebody who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown an admirable quality such as great character or strength of character.

Personal Hero It’d be great to be the champion of the World Series or a genius who finds the cure for an illness. And yet, there are those near and dear to us who have influenced our lives in some way…those who have demonstrated great strength, courage, or character.

“Heroes are NOBLE and BRAVE.”

Noble Noble people have a high purpose in life, and act according to what they believe. Noble people can also be identified by their actions, and not just by what they say.

Brave Brave people don’t give up. Neither fear, disappointment, nor embarrassment keep them from doing what is right. Brave people are not foolish. Foolish people don’t feel fear, and they often get hurt unnecessarily.

Hero Traits Brave Noble Trustworthy/Responsible Creative/Inventive Pioneering Persevering Compassionate Just
