No Child Left Behind No Child Left Behind… What is It? Comprehensive reform to bridge the achievement gap between disadvantaged and minority students and their peers. Most sweeping reform of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) since it was enacted in Replaces the Improving America’s Schools Act (IASA).

No Child Left Behind The four principles of 1.Stronger accountability for results. 2.Expanded options for parents. 3.Increased flexibility and local control. 4.An emphasis on teaching methods that are proven to work. No Child Left Behind

will cut down on red tape and bureaucracy. TRUE OR FALSE? No Child Left Behind The number of programs have been reduced. Local control has been increased. School districts can transfer almost 50% of their dollars between programs without approval.
