Most seventh graders will take four exploratory classes during the school year. Each class session is nine weeks (one quarter). The classes are:  Art  Oral Communications  Computer Essentials  Digital Literacy

 This class will spend time working on keyboarding skills. Striving for proper technique, accuracy, and speed.  Take a more advanced approach to word processing. spreadsheets, and the Internet.  Use computer applications to create their own business, and work to integrate computer applications into their academic areas of study.

 Students will continue their exploration of art and visual culture.  Students will sharpen their art-making, art analysis, creative thinking and problem solving skills as well as acquiring new skills and knowledge.  Students will use a variety of media and techniques, including drawing, painting and ceramics, focusing on how to create meaning in art.

 Students will have the opportunity to develop poise and confidence in speaking and acting in front of their peers.  The primary focus of the class is to get the students to be more comfortable in front of the class by performing short speeches and other presentation-based activities.  Students work on a wide variety of projects including beginning acting activities, pantomime, impromptus, storytelling, and speeches.
