H ERBERT HOOVER by: Caitlin O’Rourke

Herbert Hoover was born on August 10,1874 in West Branch Iowa.

Hoover died on October 20, 1964 at age of 90, in New York City.

Hoover was an orphan by age 9. He lived with his Uncle Dr. Henry Minthorn in Oregon. He was separated from his two siblings.

Herbert Hoover went to Stanford University. He earned an A.B. degree in geology. A.B stands for Arts Bachelor.

When Hoover was a young adult he was a mining engineer, scientist, Secretary of Commerce, and after his presidency, an author. Young Herbert Hover

Herbert Hoover didn’t get re-elected because the people unfairly accused him of starting the Great Depression!
