Form a Steering Committee President of the Club hand picked Rotary Members to be on the Steering Committee. Steering Committee meets for a one hour working lunch meeting each month (every month except December).

Steering Committee Identified Areas of Concern that were affecting the attendance and growth of the club Club Dues Structure Weekly Meeting Format Leadership Structure/Perspective Board Members Goal Setting for the future of Howell Rotary Club Committee Member Assignments Committee Structure & Committee Activity Membership Committee Chair Fundraising Committee Co-Chairs

Dues Structure Current structure of paying weekly was not meeting the financial needs of the club. Steering Committee reviewed payment plans that would provide the club with funds to pay district and international dues times. Plan presented to Board and adopted by Board. Annual Dues Structure implemented.

Implementation Started new year with new dues structure Club informed that annual dues would be $500 per year that included district/international dues and lunch Club members were asked to pay as follows; Annually $500 50% Semi Annually $250 25% Quarterly $125 25%

Results Club members were presented with financial picture of club standing and what this dues structure would due to improve the financial status of the club. A six month process. We explained that lunch was a part of the Rotarian meeting along with the district/international dues. No exceptions were made to those that said they didn’t eat lunch. President spoke to each member that this effected. When members pre-paid attendance had potential to go up and be more consistent. No members dropped the club as a result of the change.

Meeting Format Outlined Revamp the meeting format: -Goals included: Increase the productivity in the meetings. Create an outline that each member can use so that meetings are consistent. Creating enthusiasm and ownership of the weekly Rotary Meeting
