 29% of the care givers to our senior population – young adults between ages have no religious affiliation  They are serving the needs of senior adults (ages 65 and older) – 88% of these seniors DO have a religious affiliation – the most religious age group in Canada Religious Affiliation Among Seniors Source: Pew Research Center: Canada census; 2011 National Household Survey

Religions Affiliation is declining but still very prevalent among elders

 We need to carefully coach and train our younger generation of care providers in the importance and relevance of religious practice in the lives of today’s seniors Religious Affiliation Among Seniors
