The Choctaw Nation Diabetes Wellness Center is proud to present the Happy Heart Program, beginning in October, To participate you will be given a simple, painless screening to evaluate your blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels. Our trained technicians will help to establish healthy target ranges and develop healthy lifestyles that will work for you. Education, regular checkups, a healthy diet and exercise can reduce your risk of cardio- vascular disease. We want healthy lifestyles to become a way of life in the Choctaw Na- tion. High blood pressure, family history of heart disease, lack of exercise, fatty diet... are all signs that you are at risk for heart disease and stroke. ✔ Monthly clinic visits until risks are reduced by reaching target ranges for blood pres- sure, cholesterol and blood sugar.
