Pros

Creeds Elementary School Creeds Elementary School is a government funded building that provides learning opportunities to children in the rural Pungo area of Virginia Beach, VA. Instead of having to drive into the city to go to school they can stay in their local community. This school helps the guardians of students save money on gas and other types of transportation. Its athletic fields also allow various sports to be practiced and played locally. To prevent accidents, the speed limit has been reduced during school hours.

Back Bay Wildlife Refuge This Picture shows a local wildlife refuge where there is a nature trail open to the public. This trail is a fun place to walk and explore the ecosystem. It is also a great idea the government instituted to protect the local wildlife in their natural environment. Since this has been sanctioned as a refuge, it can not be altered from its current state. Therefore, this refuge will remain a safe haven for its inhabitants.

Nimmo Road Bike Trail This long road was recently cut through to provide a faster commute to work. For a few months after the construction of Nimmo Road, the bike path did not exsist. Its beneficial the government put this in because it provides a safe place for people to bike, run, walk, and skate. Without this bike trail transportation on bikes or skateboards would be more dangerous.

Cons

Princess Anne Road Princess Anne Road is a government funded project that provides excellent transportation throughout much of Virginia Beach. Even though it provides a route for transportation it is also very dangerous. Multiple deaths occur each year on this road. In some places the speed limit should be lowered, places where pedestrians are constantly crossing. Simple changes would make Princess Anne Road more suitable for pedestrians.

Princess Anne Lake This picture shows a rusted bike in a lake off of Princess Anne Road. Littering is common in places like these. Graffiti is also present at this landmark. A concrete section that helps prevent flooding of the lake is covered in graffiti. The graphics are also extremely offensive. This lake is available to everyone and that could cause problems if someone feels threatened by the graffiti. This picture shows a rusted bike in a lake off of Princess Anne Road. Knotts Island Skatepark Knotts Island Skatepark is a government funded recreational park that provides an excellent environment to skateboard or bike, but it is very dangerous. The park is all concrete and although it is recommended to wear protective gear, not everyone does, and there are no employees to watch the park. Fixing this problem seems simple but you would need a plan of action.
