LCAHL 2005/06 Game Plan

Open Skate at JLA Are your 06 and 05 teams registered for the LCAHL this year? If your team has registered for the league this year you are welcomed to come skate at the JLA on Saturday August Teams skate from 10-11am 2006 Teams skate from 11-12pm This skate is for LCAHL players only.

League Structure League will play organized half ice hockey games from:  September 1 – December 31, 2013 for 2006 teams  September 1- December 31, 2013 for 2005 teams Full Ice games will be allowed for the second half of the season League entry fee is $200 per team, which will be divided into two groups for the half ice games and one team for full ice All teams will play 10 Half ice games with one of those games being played at JLA The second half of the season will include 6 full ice games The league will be structured by geography for half ice games with the second half of the season going to a tiered system

Half Ice Games All half ice games will be played with 4 players and 1 goalie Games will have a referee and score will be kept Players will use the benches with line changes made on the fly Games will consist of two periods of no less than 16 minutes each Teams will switch ends on the bench during the half time break which will be 1-3 minutes Penalties will result in a Penalty shot The 2006 teams will play half ice hockey thru 12/31/13 and then full ice for the remainder of the season.

Full Ice Play Full ice hockey will use all the rules from the 2012/13 Mite MAHA guidelines The full ice season will be 6 games only with no overall championships Games will provide 3 home games and 3 road games League will tier the teams based on the talent level of their teams LCAHL will not have any final championship games at the JLA

Benefits to LCAHL League $200 for 10 half ice games and 6 full ice games All teams will play a game at the JLA All 05 and 06 players in the league will have a chance to participate in the USA Hockey clinic during the Winter Classic at Comerica on the outdoor rink All LCAHL 05/06 teams will be provided the opportunity to attend a Detroit Red Wings practice during season All teams will be provided the opportunity to participate in the LCAHL Red Bird Fund Raiser Raffle
