1.We had a meeting with Ms Read and Mrs Saunders to check what refreshments were being served and the interval time. 2.We divided our group into 2 teams of 3 to work every other night. We recorded this on a spread sheet. 3.We allocated roles to each person and decided on what uniform we would wear. 4.We found out what time we needed to arrive each night and what time we would finish. 5.Each member of the group carried out their role as discussed during the interval and we all worked together to tidy up at the end of the interval. 1.Meeting Pen & paper 2. Choosing teamsPaper/com puter Everyone chose who they wanted to work with and which nights suited them best

Carrying out our task during the play 5 Organising the team on the night and carrying out the task Uniform, crockery, food, drinks, tea towels, trays, float After organising ourselves the first night, the second night was just a repeat.

Everyone put down what they thought our roles would involve. We discussed these with Ms Read and checked that this was right. We all listened to each other and then decided who could work when and who would like to work with who. We tried to use our own strengths when deciding on our roles. We all get on very well so it was very easy to talk to each other. No one was left out. On the night of the play we all carried out our roles as planned and then all helped each other at the end to tidy up.

Fortunately as we are all good friends there were no disagreements. Because everyone chose who to work with and when to work this was easy. We are all quite easy going and had picked a task that we were all keen on doing. If we had had any problems the team leaders for each group would have had to step in and decide on what to change and tell that person what was expected of them. We might have found that one member of the team was lazier than the rest or not working hard enough and this would have had to be pointed out by the team leaders or in a group chat depending on what the problem was

Lunchtime meeting in the common room The group leader took charge Both teamsEveryone was in agreement. No change was needed. Lunchtime meeting “ “ Some members of the team needed to change their shift so we changed the teams around so that we had even numbers each night. Lunchtime meeting “ “ After the first night the team let the next team know how it had gone and what not to forget to do

Both teams worked very well together. Everyone was happy with their role and took an equal share of the responsibility. Nobody felt that anyone else worked harder during the task. Because we got on well we carried out the task effectively. Preparing for the interval was quite easy especially after the first night. We had to serve customers very quickly but everyone got served and didn’t have to wait too long. Because we performed our roles as we discussed we didn’t run out of hot mince pies of drinks. We met our objectives and looked after all the customers and we were able to raise a lot of money.

The catering group who chose what refreshments we were going to serve put everything we needed each night into the canteen. Also the canteen staff were very helpful in putting a lot of the crockery out for us. Ms Read was able to give us some help on the first night on the timing of carrying out parts of our task. Some of us have waitressing and washing up jobs so know how important it is to be quick and organised, and pleasant to the customers. We knew that it was important to raise money for the school and the better service we could provide the more we could raise I think that I performed my role well. I kept to what I had volunteered to do. I arrived early on both shifts wearing the right uniform. I was helpful and organised. I worked quickly so that meant the customers got their drinks quicker.
