Butler, Chief of Police * Board members required to provide financial gift to the Ottawa Police Foundation annually.

 The New York City Police Foundation was formed  Today, there are approximately police foundations across the country  Exist to increase professionalism, enhance services, foster innovation, and promote community outreach  Concentrated on the coasts  Support agencies large and small

 Incorporated in May 2009 (< 1% admin. costs)  Why form a foundation-501(c)(3)?  D.A.R.E. Camp – our signature program began with existing fund balance donated previously. Those funds remain dedicated to D.A.R.E.  Annual funding is approx. $9,000 (goal met for 2010)  D.A.R.E. VideoVideo  Chief Butler serves on IACP Police Foundation Board

 Advanced Technology- PowerDMS pruchased and installed  Advanced Leadership & Professional Development.  Utility Vehicle for Special Events  Cadet Program-$3,000 per cadet, per year scholarship to NCCC (City will fund PT salary)  Accreditation-application fee +first three years $11,000 (grant application pending), annual fee thereafter is $4,200.
